Overview

OSMTools is a collection of services that lessen the burden of using OpenStreetMap.

The current version of OSMTools is 0.0.36 (veröffentlicht 2022-02-16).

OSMTools provides the following services:

• Wizards

  The OSMTools wizards aid in common OpenStreetMap tasks.

  You can for example add markers to the map by double-clicking the desired position.

• Viewer

  OSMTools provides three viewers for the OpenStreetMap:

  • Automatic viewer

    This viewer automatically chooses—according to the capabilities of the used browser—among the viewers listed below.

  • Javascript viewer

    This viewer uses the OSMTools Javascript library to show the OpenStreetMap.

  • Static viewer

    This viewer does not require Javascript, but nevertheless allows to view the map, navigate on it, and show markers.

  Each of those viewers can be adapted and configured using URL parameters.

• Javascript library

  The OSMTools Javascript library encapsulates OpenStreetMap functions of the OpenLayers project to ease common tasks as adding markers or KML layers. No more hassles with coordinate transformations of server-side caching. (Demo)
